Well I did my best to take a few pics of Donald's graduation but my wee camera found it hard to take pictures in the hall and I ditched most of them but hopefully these few will give you an idea of what went on...

Graduation picture of Donald and his family. Girls handing out programs as we went into the hall

Students gathering prior to the presentation

We got there early to get a good seat

Pipe band plays the graduates into the hall

I went up to a higher resolution setting hoping you can make out some of the detail of the students parading around the hall

And then they were all on the stage and the proceedings started

Each student gets called up to receive their scroll

There must have been around 50 presentations made for various grants to the students from loads of local organisations

And when it was all over students gathered in a big circle and threw their mortar boards into the air. And that was when friends and parents all got together for a wee dance which didn't last very long at all. Noted many parents frantically looking for their son and daughter in the crush :-)  I took a few photos to give you an idea of what it was like.

Ah! And there is Donald and Debbie and some other students as well

And then it was on home for the party with Billy getting into the mood early!

And a grand wee singsong toward the end of the night

The wee collection of pics above were from the after graduation party at Billy's house which went on until 3.30am. In actual fact everyone had loads of fun. Donald and his mates stayed with us to around 9.30pm and then headed off for their own party. In the meantime lots of friends and neighbours came down to help celebrate and we had lots of good conversation, singing and ended up with a Karaoke session. Loads of food on hand and lots to drink.

Donald and a friend came back in around 2am as apparantly their party was hi-jacked by folk from the neighbouring town of Cranbrook and am told the police shut it down as it was getting out of hand.  The party is meant for the students but it does get crashed by other people but this time I gather it went way beyond previous years.  That said, Donald seemed to have had a good time and his parents and their friends also had a most enjoyable evening as did myself :-)

And here is the Graduation class of 2004 that I got from their program

And below find the names of the students
