Cape Breton
BBQ and Concert

A few photos from previous day and then onto the BBQ and Concert.  The BBQ was held at Balise and Claire's home and included family and friends...

And we arrived at the home of Alistair MacLeod, the author

And here is Joan, Claire's sister at whose house we had lunch

I don't think I've ever seen a stop sign held by a man in all my stay in Canada

I also took a couple of video clips of Blaise MacNeil playing the fiddle..

And now we will head for the BBQ...

We depart from the Nautical collage where I've been getting my Internet access and Lana, on the left, was driving me to the BBQ

And I'm about to share my bottle of Whisky that I received as a gift from the Glenora Distillery

And as is traditional the Piper gets a wee dram :-)

And here is a CD that family members have produced

And then we arrive at the concert which is in the local church

I wasn't able to bring you any sound as video and audio were not allowed but you'll likely note that Andrea Beaton was at the concert and she had previously played a couple of tracks for me at the Celtic Music Interpretative Centre.

An interview with a local historian
