The London and
Middlesex Historical Society was organized in the year 1901. Its objects
are to promote historical research and to collect apd preserve records
and other historical material that may be of use to the future
historians of our country. Its funds are devoted exclusively to these
objects; there are no salaried officers.
The Public Library Board grants the Society the free use of a room for
its meetings, which are held on the third Tuesday evening of each month,
from October to April, inclusive, and to which the public are
invited—admission always free. Membership in the Society is open to ^ny
person interested in its objects, and is maintained by the payment of an
annual fee of fifty cents.
