Wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other
hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) fell 2.3% to $84.0
billion in April. Sales decreased in six of the seven subsectors,
representing 81.6% of total wholesale sales. The largest decrease
came from the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories

reported a decrease in wholesale sales, with Ontario (-2.1% to $43.4
billion) leading the way.

New zero-emission vehicle registrations experience first
year-over-year decline since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic
Canadians registered 426,872 new motor vehicles in the first quarter
of 2025, an increase of 2.9% from the first quarter of 2024 and a
decrease of 3.8% from the fourth quarter of 2024. In the first
quarter, 37,299 new zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) were registered,
making up 8.7% of all new motor vehicle registrations. This
represents a decrease of 23.1% compared with the same period one
year earlier, marking the first year-over-year decline in new ZEV
registrations since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Impact of extreme weather and natural disasters in 2023
In 2023, 23% of Canadian households reported having experienced an
extreme weather event or a natural disaster. The most frequently
reported impact of extreme weather was poor air quality (58%),
followed by a loss of power for less than 24 hours (46%). About 15%
of households affected by an extreme weather event reported having
damage to their dwelling, with households in the Maritime provinces
being most likely to report experiencing this. Households in the
Maritime provinces were also most likely to report having power
outages lasting longer than 24 hours and more likely report having
had to throw out food.

From 1981 to 2024, median real hourly wages grew four times faster
in full-time jobs than in part-time jobs From 1981 to 2024, median
real hourly wages grew by 20%, with most of this growth occurring
after 2003. Median real hourly wages in full-time jobs—jobs that
involve at least 30 work hours per week—grew by 24%. In contrast,
median real hourly wages in part-time jobs increased by 6%.

Fresh food sales at general merchandise retailers increase at triple
the pace of those at food and beverage retailers Fresh foods and
other perishables continued to make up a higher proportion of sales
among food and beverage retailers than general merchandise retailers
from 2023 to 2024. Over the same period, fresh food sales increased
by $1.6 billion (+2.7%) to $62.2 billion for food and beverage
retailers and by $1.6 billion (+8.0%) to $22.2 billion for general
merchandise retailers. Though sales for both retailer types
increased by the same amount, the near-triple rate of increase among
general merchandise retailers may suggest a consumer shift toward
seeking better deals.

Lessons for Canada from Spain's Grid
Collapse
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney campaigned on creating a
national power grid that will include a high percentage of renewable
energy. There are lessons to be learned from the April 28 power grid
blackout in Spain and Portugal that was, in part, caused by wind and
solar. Duncan Burt of Reactive Technologies talks about the causes
of that blackout and what must be done to prevent future problems.

Canada’s Premium Corn Lands Billion
Dollar Deals
The U.S. agriculture industry has been dealt a crushing blow as
major international buyers reject American corn shipments, citing
quality and tariff concerns — and Trump is reportedly furious.
Meanwhile, Canada has seized the moment, securing billion-dollar
corn export deals that are shifting global market dynamics and
humiliating U.S. trade leadership. In this video, we expose why U.S.
corn is being turned away, how Canada is outpacing the U.S. in
agricultural diplomacy, and what this means for farmers, food
prices, and the next chapter in North American trade relations.
Could this be the final warning sign for a collapsing U.S. export
system?
My friend Nola came down and spent a
night as she was attending the funeral of the old Grand Master of
Canada of the Knights Templar.
The trade war between the U.S. and
Canada has intensified as Canada has decided to cut back on its
lumber exports to the U.S. in response to President Trump’s tariff
policies. The U.S. relies heavily on Canadian softwood lumber,
importing around 28.1 million cubic meters of lumber worth
approximately $5-8 billion annually, which accounts for about 25-30%
of the country’s lumber needs. However, with the U.S. imposing a 20%
tariff, potentially rising to 27% by the end of 2025, the price of
Canadian lumber imports could increase by 15-25%, raising
construction costs. In retaliation, Canada may implement export
quotas and explore new markets, including countries within the CPTPP
and the EU. While the U.S. can produce its own lumber, the domestic
supply isn’t enough to meet the growing demand, risking a supply
shortage. Trump’s tariff policies, though intended to protect the
domestic lumber industry, have raised production costs, reduced
competitiveness, and slowed construction projects in the U.S.

Ukrainian Drones STRIKE Russian Boat -
Then THIS Happened…
At dawn on June 24, 2025, a Russian landing craft loaded with troops
raced toward Kherson’s shore—completely unaware it had been tracked
for 27 minutes by a Bayraktar TB2 drone orbiting 18,000 feet above.
What followed wasn’t just another drone strike. It was a surgical
elimination of a Russian special operations team, caught mid-mission
and carrying demolition gear intended for targets deep in Ukrainian
territory. Using a laser-guided MAM-L missile, the TB2 struck with
pinpoint precision, destroying the vessel in seconds. But the real
story came after the explosion. Debris revealed not only elite
personnel but sabotage equipment. Within hours, Russian vessels
retreated, missions were canceled, and encrypted orders flooded the
airwaves. Ukraine’s drone operators didn’t just stop an amphibious
assault—they shattered Russian confidence in their own secrecy. In
this detailed breakdown, we cover the strike from first detection to
final detonation, explore the strategic ripple effects, and show how
one unmanned aircraft forced the Black Sea Fleet into full retreat.

Greenland BLOCKS U.S. From $3B Deal
With Canada - July 30, 2025
As the world focused on President Trump's bold attempt to annex
Greenland during his second term, a quiet geopolitical revolution
was unfolding in the Arctic. In this in-depth documentary, we
explore how Canada — through calculated diplomacy, strategic mining
partnerships, and energy deals — reshaped the balance of power in
Greenland without making a single demand for sovereignty. With a
groundbreaking $3 billion investment agreement involving Canadian
firms, the European Union, and Greenlandic authorities, this move
altered global supply chains and challenged the United States’
influence in one of the most resource-rich regions on Earth.
Dive deep into the historical context of U.S.-Greenland relations,

urgent race for rare earth minerals and Arctic energy dominance. We
break down why Greenland’s vast reserves of 38 billion tons of
critical minerals and 17 billion barrels of oil are now at the
center of a new geopolitical game — and how Canada’s Arctic “Hexagon
Strategy” could redefine alliances from Ottawa to Brussels. From
NATO tensions to European energy security, this story touches every
