Cape Breton
Lobster on the beach

Today Blaise decided I need to taste some local lobster and so having bought some we went down to his beach with some friends and had an excellent evening. I might add that Blaise used to have a lobster concession and so could go out on his boat to catch lobster. The government decided that these concessions should be revoked unless you were a full time fisherman and so the commercial fishermen came in and almost killed of the lobster in the area.  So an old tradition was taken away. The beach we are at was where they used to have a small warf and where they launched their boat from.

And so a lovely evening came to an end and thanks to the folks for showing me how to eat a lobster :-)
